Many issues with Formaker
The quality control on the Formake really should be better.
1. My laser board did not work when I received it.
2. A bolt was inside the main power supply that shorted out the 12 volts
3. Many loose bolts on the linear mounts which caused the upper left rear mount to destroy itself after 3 days of use. (see attached pictures)
4. Plate for the 3D printer not leveling properly.
5. Broken power cable on the CNC power supply.
These are just my issues plus all the other issue that posted here.
I just sent another email to CTC asking from a replacement unit or a refund.

Re: Many issues with Formaker
Update - They don't want to send me a replacement or refund my money, all they wan to do is send me more replacement parts for me to repair.
So I am getting another laser board, a new wood mount, and a new power supply. This is the last repair I am going to do. If I have another failure I will demand a refund and send this unit back.

Re: Many issues with Formaker
I received the new power supply and laser board, plus the broken wood rod carrier. Installed everything and started it up and all seem fine. I ran a CNC cut and worked perfect. Next I started a laser engrave which has been my biggest issue. I used the included file on the SD card as a test.
It started perfectly with the laser coming on and off as programed and it got about 65% through the engrave with the power supply quit. I heard a capacitor blow up. The 12v source to the laser board died. It also took out the laser board too. This is the second power supply exhibiting the same systems. Either the power supply can't produce enough current to run the laser or the laser board draws too much current. Either way it need fixing at the factory.
I sent another email to CTC describing in much detail what happened and asked for my money back. I have had enough with repairing and replcing parts.
This is totally unacceptable.
