No 3mm filament capability
Hi. I have just learnt that the 3mm is never going to work with the printer heads supplied. CTC promised this as a feature and stated compatibility during the campagn. Unfortunately they have not delivered so those of you expecting 3mm ability will be left only able to use 1.75mm.
I have contacted CTC and I am hoping they will respond by supporting their customers and living up to their promise. Anyone else expecting 3mm compatibility?

Re: No 3mm filament capability
I should be able to solve this as soon as I get mine, but, question is what is he point of having 3.0mm instead of 1.75mm?
What problem would be solved in increasing the fillament size?
Will we be able to print faster? Thicker layers?

Re: No 3mm filament capability
Hi,
I can't answer your question re 3mm advantages. I simply have a problem with the fact that it was promised and not delivered.
I had also pre-bought some 3mm in anticipation. Now it's of no use. There is no way to adapt the current head.
CTC has offered to send 2 rolls of PLA as compensation.

Re: No 3mm filament capability
Hi,
Ill look in to it as soon as I get mine.
If there are any advantages then I could probably make a retrofitted solution.
Cant say more untill I get it, but ill keep you posted.
