Ok so I have the file saved and laser fires but the size and placement is way off from where I set it seems like it's way to big for the bed and way to adjust that

Congratulation on getting the laser up and running.

Up till now I also only got the outline laser etching/cutting with the inkskape plugin.

The process to also etch infill should go via cura as described in the formaker manual. Unfortunately I was unable to generate the appropriate gcode yet. Would also be interested in the correct procedure.

Cheers,
Gregster

Cura is offered in 2 basic versions. the 2.1.2 is the newer stream. The old stream is 15.04.6 which is also mentioned in the formaker manual (even a bit oder version).
You can download both types.
