Firmware issues Simplify3d note

Occationally I get 2 problems, the firmware reboots automatically (never during a print though) and the bed/nozzle fails to heat at the beginning of a print. A reboot fixes this though.
Also, I always have this problem. Reading the SD card can be glitchy. It is impossible to have more than a few files on the card. Selecting Next or Back seems to always yield blanks fields instead of scrolling through the files as expected. Hopefully a firmware update will fix this.
Note to anyone using Simplify3d, select the CTC printer when choosing your printer brand. The Replicator 2x does not have the correct mm/step setting for X and Y axis and your prints will not be of accurate size.

Does anyone know if there is gonna be a firmware update at all?
I remember a post from CTC on kickstarter forum saying, that to upgrade or fix the Formaker, we would have to send them the whole unit. Is it still this way?
