Additional Manual Supplement from CTC

Post by CKAFamily on Mon Feb 29, 2016 11:00 pm

Hi All,
I received the additional manual called "Formaker Operational Points" which details the assembly and installation of the various heads. It does little to explain which length screw to use where but it is good enough. This file was not included in the User Manual or on the SD card provided by CTC with your Formaker.

Avoid using the Filedropper link sent by CTC through the Kickstarter Comments page as a Filedropper account is difficult to unsubscribe or cancel once you have authorized Amazon Payment.

I hope it helps

Cheers,

Christian

Re: User Manual

Post by CKAFamily on Wed Feb 24, 2016 10:44 pm

Hi all,
I have just received my Formaker and very happy to receive it. I have found that much guess work is required to figure out what all the bags of screw, bolts and brackets are for. I have found the manual less that helpful in regard to assemly of the different heads and what some parts are for. For example, what is the folded piece of black plastic for? The one with a window cutout? How does the laser fit?

I have emailed CTC twice and have had no reply. I must admit that a $20 toy or cheap flat pack furniture have much better instructions and a clearer manual.
I have the skills to figure this stuff out but I have no experience with 3D printers. I do not want to install something with a screw that is too long and then damage a component. There should be no guess work.

Is it too much to ask for a clear set of instructions after spending $1500AUD?

Does anyone have a clue as what to do with all the parts without guessing?

Thanks,
Christian
